Information reaching JusticeGhana points to the fact that President John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills has asked the Chief of Defence Staff- Lieutenant-General J.B. Dankwa and the Inspector General of Police, Patrick Kwarteng Acheampong, to proceed on retirement with effect from January 28, 2009.
This report has come, co-incidentally, at the time the former President- Jerry John Rawlings, is said to have visited the Kotoka International Airport on last Friday and had allegedly, expressed some concerns about what he is said to have described as “security lapses” at the country’s international gateway.
The former air force officer, who seized power some three decades ago and later ruled for almost 20 years, had no other option than to signal for an immediate change of guards at the National Security higher commands.
Details of the on-going changes would be communicated to readers as and when they unfold.
