Sekou Nkrumah's move to NPP is 'joke of the century'- E.T. Mensah

The Minister of Works and Housing, E. T. Mensah has described Sekou Nkrumah’s move to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as "joke of the century".

According to him, Sekou Nkrumah cannot survive outside a social democratic party after destroying his credibility in the country’s politics.

In an interview with Joy FM, the Ningo Prampram MP said, “…as a serious minded person, when you find yourself in an organization and see that things are not going well, you shine at your little corner.”

E.T Mensah further stated, “someone who cannot even gel with his biological sister or have peaceful coexistence with his sister to build on the heritage of his father must not be taken seriously…what is he looking for?...let’s not waste time on Sekou…”

E.T. Mensah admonished Sekou Nkrumah, son of Ghana’s first President Kwame Nkrumah to study the works of his father and also Ghana’s political terrain after his move to the NPP.

He further added that the wise thing Sekou Nkrumah could have done was to join forces with his sister, Samia Nkrumah who is MP for Jomoro and also Chairman of the Convention's People Party to establish CPP as a formidable force rather than jumping onto the campaign trail of the NPP.

According to the Ningo Prampram MP, if Sekou Nkrumah’s move was engineered to draw NDC faithfuls to the NPP, then he should brace up for a surprise as the NDC would win the 2012 elections hands down.

Sekou Nkrumah who resigned last year from the NDC following several public criticisms of the Mills administration has consistently said he wants to ensure the NDC is kicked out of power.
