Nana Campaign Launch For London
The aspiration of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to lead the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 would be given a further boost this weekend when members of his campaign team in London, UK, are inaugurated.
The event, which is scheduled to come off between the hours of 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm on Sunday, June 15, 2014, would see the man himself in attendance.
A statement issued by Coordinators of the programme said it would take place at the Chestnuts Community & Arts Centre, which is located at 280 St Ann’s Road, Tottenham, London, N15 5BN, opposite the St. Ann’s Hospital.
Buses are expected to be available at 67, 341, 279, 259 Seven Sisters Tube Station.
Guest Speakers would be Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko of Danquah Institute (DI) fame and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa South, Samuel Atta-Akyea.
Other high-ranking members of the NPP are also expected to speak at the event on why Akufo-Addo should be made to lead the party into the crucial 2016 general elections.
Coordinators of the group said, “Ghana deserves a leader who thinks of the next generation, not just about winning the next elections.”
According to them, majority of Ghanaians had realized that the change of the NPP government in 2008 had been a bitter failure and disappointing, insisting, “Today, the level of despondency amongst the majority of Ghanaians everywhere is immeasurable.”
In that regard, the statement said, “We, Ghanaians cannot afford to deny our next generation of the best architect of their dream by denying Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo the leadership of Ghana. It’s time to go for the man of vision, the vision of good hope that is coming with a promise of excellence.”
This, they said, was because “The vision of Nana Akufo-Addo and his promises are full of plenary inspiration that will make no room for failure.”
