Sam Gyimah is a product of the University of Oxford. Before all his professional achievements, Gyimah was already a rising star in Oxford as he read PPE and served as the President of the Oxford Union in 1997. Following his collegiate, more success would be in store for him.

At Goldman Sachs, Gyimah thrived in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Equities Divisions as he worked on some of the largest mergers in the UK, such as the £100 billion merger of Glaxo Welcome and Smithkline Beecham.
Following his time at Goldman Sachs, Sam Gyimah would focus on his first venture that he co-found. He convinced a number of his former supervisors to support the endeavour. Gyimah’s first venture would late expand to 70 members and have a turnover of £10 million in three years. The move earned Sam Gyimah the CBI’s ‘Entrepreneur of the Future’ award in 2005.
In 2006, Sam Gyimah began working on his second business, the online community known as Workology.com. Gyimah’s second venture would be for people looking to harness control of their professional lives. Gyimah’s “Workology†would later go live in Spring 2008. The venture still continues to be backed by certain Goldman partners that also back the online betting exchange, Betfair.
Before all of his professional accomplishments in the world of business, Sam Gyimah served at one time as a Governor of an inner London comprehensive, on the Board of Nacro, a Housing Association, and is currently on the Development Board for Somerville College, Oxford.
