Duffuor buys £1.8mn London mansion?
04 September 2012
Land title documents made available to the New Statesman reveal that Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, Kwabena Duffuor, has allegedly purchased a three bedroom mansion in London for a whopping £1.8 million.
The said property located in the Regents Park Area, London NW1, was said to have been purchased on the October 20, 2011, coincidentally the period within which the “Woyomegate” scandal took place.
Attempts made by the New Statesman to reach Dr Duffuor for his comments on the said property proved futile.
The sender of the email containing the documents, one Guy Meledje, has called on Dr Duffuor and the NDC government to come clean on the matter or “there will be no other choice but to publish the lease in its entirety, which will include the exact address and location of the property.”
The land title number of the lease is “LN 239868” with the “Title Absolute” addressed to the “Proprietor: Dr Kwabena Duffuor (Co. Regn. No.2769356) and care of Freeman, Box 8, Bentinck Street, London Wlu 2BJ (Ref: SA/C12488-1).
The title deed was allegedly obtained from the Land Registry, Croydon Office, Trafalgar House, 1 Bedford Park, Croydon, CR0 2AQ
