I won’t victimize anyone after December polls, Prez Mahama assures
15 November 2012
President John Mahama says no Ghanaian should suffer any discrimination or victimization after the December elections because of party affiliation.
He has, therefore, promised to ensure that all Ghanaians enjoy their right to freedom from intimidation and victimisation should he win the election.
Addressing a rally at Atebubu on Thursday as part of his tour of the Bono Ahafo Region, President Mahama said it was time from Ghanaians to recognize that politics is a contest of ideas and not a reason to hate one another, adding that unity is crucial to the nation's development and that Ghana must remain united regardless of who wins the December elections.
He called on the people to reject the NPP’s free SHS outright and support the NDC's promise to invest more in education and improve access and quality.
On Wednesday, November 15, 2012, Mahama spoke to the people of his wife’s hometown, Nkoranza, where he urged the people to give the NDC a second term.
He called on the rank and file of the NDC to remain confident and keep explaining the unparalleled achievements of the NDC government to the electorate in order to convince the people to vote massively for him and the NDC on December 7.
President Mahama told a mammoth crowd in Nkoranza that nothing will stop the NDC from winning the elections but added that party members needed to intensify their campaign to win the party a "one touch victory.”
He promised the people more projects if they vote to keep the NDC in power.
The president had earlier campaigned at Chiraa, Goaso, Atronie, Hwediem and other nearby villages. From:Jerry Tsatro Mordy/Myjoyonline.com
