Mr Martin Amidu filed the suit at the Supreme Court asking the court to declare that the agreement entered into between the Government, Waterville Holdings and others was an international contract, which needed a parliamentary approval and that current agreement was inconsistent with the laws of Ghana.

When the case was called the court urged the parties to agree on the issues they wanted the court to determine.

At that juncture, Mr Amidu told the court that the parties in the case had already filed their issues and what was left was for the court to narrow those issues.

Professor Kofi Date-Baah, President of panel admitted that the parties had filed their memorandum of issues and the court subsequently set June 14, 2013 for the judgment.

In another development, the Supreme Court had also set June 21 this year to give its verdict on another suit brought by Mr Martin Amidu against Isofoton B.V. in connection with another judgment debt payment.

When the case was called the parties in the case told the court they were relying on their submissions that they had filed.

The court subsequently adjourned to June 21, 2013 for judgment.
