He however boldly stated that Ewes are not cowards and would retaliate attacks by any ethnic group in the country.

The retired judge in a sarcastic manner however thanked Kennedy Agyapong for giving prior notice of his intent adding that Ewes in the Volta Region and other parts of the country would be ready for him.

Speaking on XYZ News, he expressed confidence in the Attorney General, saying he will deal with the issue intellectually and the adequate punishment meted out to the embattled MP.

The NPP firebrand who declared war on his private radio station was arrested by the Police CID on Monday and has subsequently been charged with treason. He is scheduled to appear in court today to face trial.

Mr. Kpegah also stated that some Chiefs and people of the Volta region have decided not to support President Mills because he has failed to show gratitude to them since he was elected as president even though he has been to several other parts of the region.

Meanwhile, a former president of the ECOWAS commission is worried the current development could have a negative toll on the international image of Ghana.

Ambassador James Victor Gbeho who is currently serving as Presidential Advisor on Foreign Affairs told XYZ News that Ghanaians who are agitated over the ongoing prosecution of the Assin North NPP MP must calm down.
