Residents of Jirapa in the Upper West region say they are living in fear following the murder of a 60-year-old man there.
Daba Babunji was allegedly beheaded by one Dakurah Naa Yuuri, who is alleged to have roasted the deceased's liver.
The suspect has been remanded in prison custody pending investigations.
According to the Jirapa Police commander, ASP Vincent Appiah, the police received a report from an unidentified caller who said a man that had been murdered and buried at Sagbaaluu, a village close to Jirapa and gave the name of the suspect as Dakurah Naa Yuuri.
He said the police immediately moved in to arrest the suspect.
According to ASP Appiah, the suspect admitted to killing the deceased, explaining that he suspected the deceased of stealing his goats.
The suspect told the police that he confronted the deceased who was lurking around his farm and fight ensued between them.
Dakurah said whilst the fighting went on, he asked his son to bring him his single-barrel gun with which he shot the deceased who was subsequently beaten to death by two other farmers - Bawuo Emilio and Bayor Emilio - who were attracted to the scene by the sound of the gun.
ASP Appiah said the suspect led the police to the burial place of the deceased.
