Akufo-Addo cannot be corrupted – Subin MP
The New Patriotic Party’s Member of Parliament for Subin, Isaac Osei has stated that the Party’s flagbearer can never be corrupted as do some politicians.
“I have known Nana Akufo-Addo for over 40years now, both in private and public life, and I can vouch for his integrity that he is not corrupt and can never be corrupted,” Mr. Osei stated while addressing a charged crowd at the inauguration of the Old-Tafo constituency Nasara-wing of the party.
Mr. Osei indicated that corruption within the present NDC regime is of gargantuan proportions and has contributed to retarding economic growth and also diminished the standard of living of the people.
He said, “under the Presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo, God-willing, the country’ resources will be used judiciously for the benefit of all Ghanaians and not some greedy few”.
Earlier, Mr. Isaac Osei visited some churches within his constituency to fellowship with them and also to seek the face of God as the NPP gears towards victory in the upcoming general elections.
He first visited the A.M.E Zion Cathedral where he joined the congregation for a special prayer for the peace and unity of the country as we draw nearer to the 2012 general elections. He said election is about choice and the trading of ideas. “It is important the electorate weighs the manifestos of the various political parties and choose among them, one that can transform lives and the nation” He stressed.
He also visited the Church of Pentecost at Asafo and urged the congregation to vote back the NPP to power so they can get the opportunity to enhance their livelihoods through policies such as: Free SHS, Strengthening of the NHIS and Job creation. He added that “every child must have the opportunity to go to school no matter the circumstance of their birth”.
Finally, Mr. Isaac Osei, entreated the congregation to pray not only for him but also his opponents. He said, “Please pray for Nana Akufo-Addo, John Mahama, Kwesi Nduom, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings and all those who seek to lead Ghana in the highest office of the land.
The Presiding Elder of the Church thanked him for worshiping with them and prayed for the favour of God upon him and his Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo. Prayers were also said for all other political leaders.
