Dawn Swoop On Aggudey

The house of the former flag bearer of the Convention People's Party (CPP), Mr. George Opesika Agudey was swooped at dawn yesterday by officials of Value Added Tax (VAT) for failing to pay four-year tax arrears owed the state.

Mr. Agudey, who is the owner of Gold Crest Securities was accused by VAT officials for failing to honour his promise to clear GH¢615,909.85 of arrears his company (Gold Crest Securities) owed the state which has accrued for four years. His house was invaded at about 5:30am yesterday to force him clear the VAT arrears.
