The Flag bearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has called on Ghanaians to reject the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and vote massively for the PPP in the December elections.

He said the PPP offered the best alternative to the NDC and the NPP in respect of getting the nation’s development agenda back on track and restoring hope to Ghanaians.

Interacting with journalists at Akosombo in the Asuogyaman District in the Eastern Region recently, Dr Nduom said the PPP had the best message for Ghanaians.

Among other commitments, the PPP is proposing to offer free, compulsory and continuous education from kindergarten to senior high school level, promote good health care with emphasis on preventive health, create more jobs and wage a strong fight against corruption.

Dr Nduom was happy to note that many people were responding positively to the campaign message of the party.

However, he admitted that more work needed to be done to ensure total victory, particularly, the need to assure people who had become apathetic to voting because of the failures of the NDC and the NPP that the PPP was different from the other political parties.

The PPP flag bearer was accompanied on his visit to Akosombo by the party’s National Chairman, Nii Allotey Brew-Hammond.

Addressing the polling station executives, Dr Nduom urged them to work hard to ensure victory for the PPP in the December polls.

“I’m a believer and I believe the PPP will win the election”, he told them, but he indicated that victory required a lot of hard work.

Dr Nduom asked the electorate of Asuogyaman and the entire nation, when they enter the voting booth on Election Day, to look out for the red sun political symbol and the presidential candidate wearing spectacles and thick moustache, and vote for him.

He introduced the PPP parliamentary aspirant for the Asuogyaman Constituency, Solomon Obuobi Adu, to the people and asked them to vote for him.

Buoyed by that vote of confidence in him, Mr Adu said he was determined to capture the Asuogyaman parliamentary seat come December.

That parliamentary seat has swung between the NDC and the NPP over the past 20 years.

He promised to offer the constituents the best of service to help address some of the major challenges in the constituency, such as the lack of jobs.

“We are the best team for job creation”, he remarked.
