A Call For the Amendment of Article 89 of the Constitution

The presidential spokesperson, Mr. Mahama Ayariga has called for the amendment of a law in the Ghanaian constitution, which compels the President to appoint a Council of State before the appointment of certain key leaders like the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

In an interview with Peace FMs Kokrokoo Morning Show, Mr. Ayariga said article 89 of the Ghanaian Constitution is one area that we need to amend, because it has challenges facing any government in transition.
