The National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2012 campaign Co-ordinator, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, said the John Mahama Campaign Team and the NDC won the elections through hard work and dedication.

According to him the campaign team prayed and fasted towards the elections and that culminated in a one touch feat adding that “Ghanaians chose a peaceful, God fearing and knowledgeable person as President”.

Speaking on the Gold Power Drive on Tuesday, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah indicated the NDC campaign team was able to unlock the fallacy of the free Senior High School (SHS) policy of their opponents which worked in favour of the NDC.

He added that the ethnic cards played by the opposition did not work since President John Mahama won in eight regions.

The NDC 2012 campaign co-ordinator condemned the attacks on the media by supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) stressing that they should accept the outcome of the election.

“We are keeping the records of the intolerance of the NPP. It will make our work easy in 2016”, he said.

Elvis Ankrah also emphasized that the Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, was strategically positioned in the Central and Western Regions while the First Lady, Lordina Mahama was assigned to the Brong Ahafo Region, her home region to canvas for votes.

He further expressed appreciation to senior members of the NDC, volunteers, financiers and the media for propagating the good works of the better Ghana agenda and securing victory for President Mahama and the NDC.
