Konadu quits NDC; sets sight on NDP
Former Vice Chair of the National Democratic Congress, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings has resigned from the party, the Daily Graphic reports.
The move, less than 48 hours to the congress by the NDC offshoot, the National Democratic Party to elect a flagbearer adds to speculation she may accept to run for President on the party's ticket.
It also comes days after the former President indicated in an interview with Joy News he will support his wife should she decide to contest the elections this December.
The wife of the NDC founder it will be recalled resigned from her position as the NDC vice-chairperson to contest the late J.E.A Mills for the NDC flagbearership last year.
She was however unsuccessful in her attempts polling a paltry 3.1% of the votes cast.
The former first lady is expected to hand in her resignation letter to the leadership of the ruling party today.
