Asantehene To Speak On Missing Crown Jewels

Fresh from his return from Norway, the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will Monday give a comprehensive statement about the missing crown jewels of the Golden Stool before the powerful Asanteman Council at a meeting expected to have a full house.
It would be the first time the King would publicly make a statement on the matter since it happened about two weeks ago in a downtown Oslo Hotel where he lodged to attend an international meeting in the Scandinavian Country
Membership of the Asanteman Council comprises the Asantehene, as Life President, the Paramount Chiefs from Ashanti, parts of the Brong Ahafo Region and the Volta Region. and the Senior Chiefs of each of Kumasi Clans.
Media Relations Manager at the Manhyia Palace, MR G, B. Osei-Antwi would not confirm or deny whether issues about the stolen items would he discussed at the meeting.
However, graphic.com.gh gathered from other sources that the Asantehene would surely make a statement on the jewels.
