The party says unreliable electricity and water supply as well as general economic decline have reduced the dignity of the Ghanaian to an unacceptable level.

Addressing a news conference to respond to the NDC’s Setting the Record Straight, NPP communications director, Nana Akomeah said the country is currently undertaking massive importation of food due to the poor management of the agricultural sector.

He described unemployment as the biggest problem affecting young people in the country.

“The Ghana TUC states that more than 200,000 young people come onto the job market every year. The World Bank estimates that there are 65% youth unemployment in the country. Yet the NDC government in four years has no policy and action plan on employment. As we speak the cost of living is rising on a weekly basis.”

Campaign manager for the NPP, Boakye Agyarko is also demanding government and Ghana Statistical Service to come clear on the single digit inflation when goods and services have witnessed over 300 percent increment.
