A London Vicar's Daughter Leapt to her Death from a A Third-floor Window to escape Bullies

Rosimeiri Boxall, 19, plunged from a third-floor window in Blackheath after being assaulted by girls who were aged 13 and 17, the jury was told.

The teenagers had been arguing over a boy and part of the incident was recorded on a mobile phone by a friend half-an-hour before the death, the court heard. Roger Smart, prosecuting, said Miss Boxall, known as Rosie, had not wanted to fight and was passive throughout the incident in May, last year.

The short mobile clip shown to the court showed her being slapped and her hair pulled. After screams were heard from the top floor of a Victorian house in Coleraine Road, Miss Boxall was heard to fall. The teenagers, who had been swigging vodka from a bottle, ran out and the younger girl was heard to continue verbally abusing Miss Boxall as she lay dying, it is alleged. Mr Smart continued: 'Outside, she continued to verbally abuse Rosie, calling her a whore and f***ing bitch as she lay dying on the ground.' The girl had picked up Miss Boxall's mobile phone as she lay injured and after throwing it back down, said 'serves you right, bitch', the jury was told.

A witness had heard the girls blaming each other before the younger girl was said to have packed a bag and made an attempt to leave. Paramedics arrived but found Miss Boxall, who had multiple injuries, was not breathing and had no pulse. Miss Boxall was the adopted daughter of the Rev Simon Boxall, the Anglican vicar at the Open Gateway Community Church in Thamesmead, south-east London. Oluwakemi Ajose, 19, of Charlton, south-east London, who was known as Kemi, and a 15-year-old girl who cannot be named for legal reasons, deny manslaughter.

Miss Boxall had been born in Brazil where she was adopted by Mr Boxall and his wife Rachel. They came to live in the UK in January 2005. Mr Smart said Ajose lived in the flat which was part of a house run by Greenwich social services to allow young people to live independently. Mr Smart said: 'Rosie leapt to her death from the kitchen window of Kemi's flat to escape from a prolonged period of physical and verbal abuse.' The trial continues.
