The doctors are reported to be embarking on the strike to protest against the current deteriorating state of the hospital, especially the accident emergency unit, the unreliable power supply at the hospital and the non-availability of medicines at the hospital.

The decision to embark on the strike action was taken after a crucial meeting on Monday evening and will be releasing an official statement soon.
